This project involved a complete overhaul of a disorganized network rack that had accumulated years of poor cable practices. As shown in the before photo, the rack was a tangled mess of blue, green, and yellow cabling with no clear structure — wires looped, crossed, and bundled without labeling, making it nearly impossible to trace a single connection, troubleshoot issues, or safely add new equipment without risking downtime.

Our team approached the cleanup methodically: every cable was traced back to its source and destination, tested for functionality, and then re-routed through proper cable management channels. We removed redundant and dead cabling, re-terminated connections where needed, and organized all active lines by function and color for easy identification. Cables were neatly dressed, bundled, and secured using velcro ties instead of harsh zip ties (to avoid future damage), then routed cleanly through the vertical cable managers on both sides of the rack.
